My love of Ezra Furman has been well documented on these pages, but I must admit the last tour was lacking a certain je ne sais quoi. Glad to report, then, that this new paired-down, punkier incarnation of the band have recaptured that old energy that made them so thrilling in the first place. Still miss the sax a bit, but the buzz that ran through the venue during "Love You So Bad" was really quite something.
