CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH (London Scala, 09/06/22)

The first time I saw Alec Ounsworth, he stood stock still like a deer in the headlights, clearly wishing he could be anywhere else but Leeds (an emotion many of us can sympathise with). Seventeen years later, I’m happy to report he’s loosened up a bit. Not quite as ebullient as his last couple of London dates, but I’ve always got room in my heart and ears for nasal yelping over indie-rock jams.
