A fine day South of the River, despite the fact one stage was literally unbuilt and the police presence could be described as “overzealous”. Effortlessly cool Malian singer-songwriter Fatoumata Diawara was the definite highlight (despite only catching the last 15 minutes of her set), but Surfbort provided a much-needed dose of chaos to counter the early-evening slump and Primal Scream were on good, sometimes even blissful form - particularly when Bobby Gillespie was off-stage.
