MELODY’S ECHO CHAMBER (London Scala, 15/03/23)

Waited a decade to see Melody Prochet live, and she exceeded even my sky-high expectations with ninety blissful minutes of classic French dream-pop. Felt suitably celebratory too, as in 2017 a serious accident left her with a brain aneurysm that could have ended her career for good. Lovers of Stereolab, Broadcast, Drug Store Romeos etc. are morally obliged to check her out.
