FINAL FANTASY: A NEW WORLD (London Cadogan Hall, 26/02/24)

Distant Worlds' less bombastic, more laid-back sister series returned to London with a whole bunch of brand new (and sometimes unexpected) arrangements and it was, well, Fantastic. Benyamin Nuss was once again phenomenal on the piano, conductor Eric Roth showed off his vocal and slide-whistle talents, plus it's always nice to see Masashi Hamauzu on these shores. And that arrangement of FFX's "Besaid"...glorious.
