HAWKWIND (London Barbican, 26/05/25)

The psych-rock pioneers blasted their audience of greyhairs into the cosmos with an two-hour, career-spanning set of synth odysseys, nerd-tinged lyrics and lasers galore, with band leader and only original member Dave Brock resoundingly robust at 83 years of age. I also saw a guy in a wheelchair in full "horned wizard" regalia who may well be my new hero.
