BRIGHT EYES (London Shepherd's Bush Empire, 25/06/25)

Eighteen years ago, I saw Conor Oberst and his band drop some premium emo-Americana (emoricana?) live at Shepherd’s Bush, enjoyed it a lot, then promptly forgot about them until last week, when I saw everyone and their dog rave about this latest tour. One FOMO later, and I'm back at the same venue to see Conor (kinda, there's a wall of very tall blokes in front of me) and even though it's a bit "country" for my tastes, I once again enjoyed them a lot. Pacy, no-nonsense indie-rock with lively, brass accented arrangements and Conor on superb (and sober) form.
